RULES |
|
UPPER LEAGUE: |
| Games will consist of three 15 minute periods -- running time with 5 minute breaks between periods |
| Clock will stop on all whistles during last 5 minutes of the third period, unless one team is winning by |
| more than 2 goals. |
|
| Penalties will be called. Penalty will be for 2 minutes and team will play shorthanded. |
|
PEE WEE LEAGUE: |
| Same as above with the one exception that games will be 12 minute running time with the |
| last 3 minutes of the 3rd period as stop time, unless one team is leading by more than 2 goals. |
|
|
BOTH LEAGUES: |
| All players must play at least 1/2 the game. |
|
| Games are played with the delayed offsides rule. |
|
| NO ICING rule |
|
| There will be 6 players on the rink (which includes the goaltender) UNLESS |
| one of the teams have only 5 players, then the other team must also field |
| only 5 players (which includes the goaltender). |
|
| For the regular season games, we will not play any OT or shootout if tied at the end of regulation. |
| Playoff games tied at the end of regulation will play a sudden death 5 minute OT. If still tied, the |
| teams will play another 5 minute sudden death OT. If tied after the 2nd OT, a shootout will be played |
| with 3 players chosen from each side and alternating shots. If tied after these three shootouts, then |
| we'll continue with an additional person from each team until a team wins. |
|
| Ties in the standings will be broken as follows: First tie breaker will be head-to-head won/loss record. |
| 2nd tie breaker will be team with most wins. 3rd tie breaker will be # of goals allowed for entire season. |
|
| One Referee will be present at each game. Championship game will have two referees. |
